Enrique Murillo and Georges Vinaver, respected architects and artists, were two good friends who designed the "La Ballena Emplumada" ("The Feathered Whale"). They collaborated in a way that is rarely achieved, combining their tastes and knowledge. When the balance between volumes and spaces, light and darkness are harmoniously combined, it achieves something unique, something the Chinese may call the right balance between Yin and Yang. This is why people undoubtably feel good in these apartments. Enrique and Georges may have had an inherent gift for Feng Shui when they created The Feathered Whale.

The building is conveniently located near small shops and has easy access to main avenues that take you to both ends of the city and to Coatepec. On one side is Lázaro Cárdenas Street, otherwise known as the old road to Coatepec. If you take a right, it takes you to Ruiz cortínez Ave. and the State Theater. If you take a right, it takes you to the Botanical Garden and on to Coatepec. On the other side of the hill thruns the new highway to Coatepec. If you go left there, it takes you to Los Sauces Market and to Down Town Xalapa.
In front of the apartments is the garden and underneath it are the garage spaces. Behind the building we have a hill on our property with a lot of vegetation, our ecological lung. Everything is well fenced and protected.

DESCRIPtioN
¨La Ballena Emplumada¨ is a building with very attractive and unique apartments. It won the National Architecture Award in 2000. The combination of materials, the colors that were chosen and the space design, offers a unique living experience. The apartments are furnished and carpeted with everything you need, except sheets, blankets and kitchen utensils.
The spaces are not conventional. They are designed for ONE PERSON OR A COUPLE. There is the equivalent of a bedroom, a study, living room, dining room, kitchen and terrace. They are for those looking for tranquility, an oasis to return to after a day of work.
For this reason, this building is not for loud party lovers, children nor pets
People who seek a quiet place to live, reside at La ballena Emplumada.

It has its own wifi, a two canister water filter, so you don´t have to buy and carry water up the stairs. it has a queen size bed and a second bed for one person upstairs, with a small desk by a window. It's a beautiful apartment!
